This Privacy Policy explains what personal data I collect through the website maratnigmati.com, why I collect it, and the rights you have. I am Marat Nigmati, an Individual Entrepreneur registered in Georgia, and I act as the data controller for this site.

Scope
This policy applies to the website maratnigmati.com. It does not cover external sites or platforms I link to, each of which has its own privacy policy.
What I collect and why
Contact form
When you use the contact form, I collect your name, email address, and the message you write. The form is processed by Web3Forms, which delivers your message to my inbox. No form data is stored in a database on this site.
Purpose: to respond to your enquiry and take steps at your request before any possible engagement. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract at your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), supported by my legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Newsletter
If you subscribe, I collect your email address. Sending is handled by my email provider, [Beehiiv / Kit / Substack]. Subscription uses double opt-in, meaning you confirm by clicking a link in a confirmation email. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link.
Purpose: to send occasional updates you asked to receive. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). I do not sell your email address and I do not use it for third-party advertising.
Booking a call
The "Book a 20-min intro" button takes you to Cal.com, a third-party scheduling service that collects any details you enter under its own privacy policy. I receive the booking information you choose to provide.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. As with most hosting, technical data such as your IP address and browser type is processed in server logs to run and protect the site. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Links to social platforms
Links to Telegram, LinkedIn and X take you to those platforms, which handle your data under their own policies.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set its own cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not run advertising.
International transfers
Some of the providers above are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside Georgia or the European Economic Area, I rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long I keep it
- Contact enquiries and correspondence: as long as needed to handle your request and to keep a reasonable business record, and no longer than 24 months after our last exchange unless a longer period is needed for an ongoing engagement.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, after which your email is removed. A minimal record may be kept only to honor your unsubscribe request.
- Server logs: for a limited period set by the hosting provider.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Georgian data protection law you can ask me to: access your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to its processing; receive a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect processing already carried out. To exercise any of these, email privacy@maratnigmati.com.
You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Georgia, this is the Personal Data Protection Service. In the EU, it is your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their personal data.

I may update this policy from time to time. The current version and date are shown at the top of this page.
